Getting rid of the mane

February 19th, 2010

Here’s a recap of my trip to get a haircut with Brianna. Once I was there I found out that it had been 15 weeks since my last haircut. Brianna thinks that my hair looks funny now. I’m ready for my trip to San Antonio tomorrow.

February 19th, 2010

Hello welcome to our blog one more time. This is just an update about our ministry, where we have been and what God has been doing during this last few weeks. We wanted to share this with you and we want to ask you to continue to pray for us as we continue in ministry.

Do you have a chainsaw?

February 12th, 2010

I was awaken this morning by my front neighbor to see if I had a chainsaw because he could not get his car out. I didn’t have one but I still came out to help him and we cleared the car so he could go to work. After that I got my camera and recorded this video update.

We had a wonderful 9″ of snow today. We woke up to a beautiful white covered property. Brianna got out of school early so after my wife got out of work and we stocked up on groceries, we decided to have a little fun.

Watch this video of a small snow ball fight. Brianna got tired and girly and decided to not play anymore so we gave her the camara until… Well just watch!

What animals do you have?

February 11th, 2010

Here is a video of Caleb showing me his expanding capsule animals. This is a continuation of Brianna’s Reward. He names all the animals he got from the capsules.

Note: The video title is not wrong, that’s just how Caleb asked me? LOL!

Here is a video of the reward that Brianna received for reaching her counting to school 100 achievement. We are so proud of her. Some of you might be taken back in time with her reward. On that outing we bought Caleb some expanding capsules and he was excited about what they would become. Enjoy!

Volvere – By Josue Padilla

I wrote a song several years ago during a Communion Service. For months I kept it to myself. Eventually the song was recorded and I want to share it with you. Feel free to sing it in your church if you want. You can buy the album from Oscar Padilla at http://www.oscarpadilla.net

Enjoy the video!

97, 98, 99 and 100! YAY!!!!!

February 8th, 2010

I am very proud of both of my kids but today I was extremely happy for Brianna. Her teacher walked her over to me by the car and I originally taught that something was wrong. To my surprise, her teacher wanted to tell me that Brianna had achieved something special, she counted to 100 in class. She had been experiencing a little trouble reaching her 100 count process. She needed a little help to get to it, but today she went all the way and with no help. Everyone, including my wife and I were very excited.

You might think, what’s the big deal with that? Maybe you thought she already did. Maybe your kid did better than that. Well I don’t think it’s that she can count to 100, cause she’s done it here at home. Brianna seems to have a problem with public speaking, which is weird to me, being that that’s what I do for a living. We are proud of her because she jumped that hurdle. She tends to be really shy and gets nervous when in public. I believe it’s something that practice will help, but for the moment, we couldn’t be happier.
